<p>Regardless of when you are visiting the lodge, you have direct accsess to groomed off road trails. The trails range from both long and short, and can offer a good experience for both the beginner snowmobile enthusiast, to the experienced quad rider.</p>

<p>Whether you prefer a dry hike, a snowy trek, or a muddy slog, the Loose Moose Lodge has a lot to offer. Not only is there direct access to back road trails, the lodge is also located in a prime location on the IAT, International Appalachian Trail Route, Bald Peak Mountain and Mount Carleton. This makes the lodge a great rest spot for both beginners and advanced hikers a like.</p>

<p>Located a short drive away is a convenience store where you can buy many of your daily necessities. They sell food, hunting and fishing supplies. They also sell both warm and cool clothing too. You won't be put out if you need to get something in a pinch.</p>

With a convenience store only a couple minutes drive away, within walking distance if you so desire and a town 30 minutes drive out, You can experience the great New Brunswick outdoors without sacrificing the modern conveniences we have all grown to love.</p><h3>A simple getaway.</h3><p>The Loose Moose Lodge may not have cell reception, but we do have fast internet regardless. Not everyone wants to be out doors all day every day. For folks who want a simple but fruitful retreat for the week you can simply experience the beautiful views and the clean fresh air. Have barbecues, bonfires, or maybe just sit and enjoy a beer in the fresh air, The Loose Moose Lodge has something to offer everyone.</p>

<p>The Loose Moose Lodge is located in an excellent location that caters to guests' varied interests.</p><h4>Off-Road Motoring</h4><p>We are directly on a well used and maintained ATV and Snowmobile trail. Whether you like to ride for recreational use or for hunting, you can find a great deal of trails for riding on. The trails also provide a moderate challenge for hikers too.</p><h4>Hiking</h4><p>When it comes to hiking, The Loose Moose Lodge is directly on the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://tourismnewbrunswick.ca/appalachian-range-route#main-content">Appalachian range route.</a> Some more information about the route can be found at <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://iat-sia.org/new-brunswick/">https://iat-sia.org/new-brunswick</a>. This is not all that The Loose Moose lodge has to offer though, we have direct access to back trails that are also suitable for hiking on too, the off road trails join to a larger network of logging road trails.</p><p>The map below has marked the main Appalachian trail as well as local mountains aside from Mount Carleton. The Riley Brook Mountain is another great view that is highly recommended.</p><h4>Fishing</h4><p>The Tobique river is right nearby as well, Guests have great access to fishing and small boating during their stay. As well as plenty of lakes and reservoirs that are also located nearby.</p><p>Bass, Salmon and Trout are some of the more common catches you can expect to score. Whether you prefer to catch your dinner or release your game, you won't find yourself disappointed at the end of the day.</p><h4>Hunting</h4><p>Hunting is not an issue either. Located right on top of the trails which lead to over a thousand acres of prime hunting land, You have access to land where hunting all sorts of game is viable,</p><p>From rabbit and grouse to buck and bear, you can experience why the mountain side in New Brunswick is considered some of the best hunting in all of North America.</p>

<p>Provided is clean drinking water, Full kitchen with Stove oven combo, Fridge, Microwave, Plates and Utensils. The dining side has a table seating 6, rocking chair and couch. A warm fireplace is usable for the cold months.</p>

<p>While small, the laundry room boasts a full size laundry machine and dryer. Extra blankets and sheets are available. For a small charge we can also provide laundry detergent and fabric softener.</p>

Amenities.

<p>The lodge has one premium room available. The room is a large one, with TV, Dresser, as well as a bench available for sitting and changing. For sleeping you can find a King size bed, as well as a bunk bed with a double on bottom and single on top.</p><p>An extra single sized bed can be provided at no charge.</p><p>For a small fee, we can also provide a table for eating as well as a small private use fridge, separate from the communal one.</p><p>It has an ensuite bathroom with great features. A walk in shower (with decent water pressure.) Toilet and sink. The bathroom is well insulated and has it's own dedicated heater to maintain a separate temperature from the rest of the room.</p>

The premium room.

<p>While the second and third rooms are more modest then the first, that doesn't mean they are bad by any means.<br><br>These rooms are quite similar to each other, the only major difference is that one room has two beds, and the other has 3. With these rooms you certainly get the log cabin feel from them. </p><p>Both rooms have 4pc bathrooms, and their own heater so for during the winter months, you can still expect to maintain a comfortable temperature.</p>

These houses are for rent, located not far from the Gaustatoppen 
The Gaustatoppen is the highest point in Vestfold og Telemark County in Norway. It is also the eighth highest peak in the country with 1,883 m above sea level.
In summer, the summit is accessible on foot via a rocky path of medium difficulty. The shortest route starts from a parking lot between Rjukan and Tuddal, at an altitude of 1,173 m; the difference in height is around 700 m over a distance of 3.5 km, which can be covered in two to three hours. Other, longer routes exist from Tuddal and Selstali.

<p>We have a few things we can help provide to guests staying at the lodge.</p><h4>Shuttling</h4><p>Located a short drive away is a convenience store where you can purchase various necessities including food for cooking. We can provide a lift to the store and back without difficulties if you don't wish to travel yourself.</p><p>Located within driving range is also Mount Carleton, Riley Brook Mountain (Bald Peak Mountain), several fishing spots and more.</p><h4>Laundry Supplies</h4><p>The laundry room comes complete with a full sized washing machine and dryer. During booking we can offer laundry detergent and fabric softener as well as dryer sheets if needed.</p>
